Are you planning on being CHIL this Winter?

As temperatures drop below zero, protecting water pipes from freezing or bursting should be a top priority for businesses.

Think CHIL:

CRISIS PLAN –

Be prepared, research how to use your stopcock and have an emergency kit that includes clean, fresh drinking water should a pipe burst.

HEAT –

Consider leaving the heating in an empty building on low or set a recurring timer.

INSULATE –

Cover your water tanks and pipes with suitable insulation material or if the building is empty then consider having your pipes drained.

LEAK –

Drips increase the likelihood of freezing so carry out any repairs as soon as possible and always check you have adequate coverage for water damage under your insurance policy.
